The harmony is a musical element based on the simultaneous combination of the musical tonalities (as distinguished from the consecutive tonalities of a melody), or the accompaniment of a melody by using cords. A combination of three tonalities or more, played simultaneously and perceived as resounding as a whole is called a cord. Some rudimentary principles will help you to include/understand the nature of the conventional construction of cord. The simplest cord is the principal triad, which is composed of three tonalities.
